How to Make a Gift

Please make checks payable to "William Paterson UniversityFoundation, Inc." and note if you would like to designate your gift to a particular program or school.

Credit Card Donations The William Paterson University Foundation accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express. To make a contribution to the Annual Fund or make a Senior Class Gift by credit card, please submit our online form. An Automatic Monthly Payment Plan is now being offered for our Annual Fund. For other contributions, or if you do not wish to submit your gift online, please call (973) 720-3201 to make your contribution.
Securities Transfer The most efficient way to transfer securities to theWilliam Paterson University Foundation is by electronic transfer. This ensures the maximum tax benefit to the donor since the Foundation has an institutional rate. Real Estate Gifts of residences and real estate provide tax deductions, avoid capital gains taxes, and in some instances permit continued lifetime residence. You may contribute real property as an outright gift, a gift and continue to live in the home, or an asset given with retained life income. Tangible Personal Property Contributions of tangible personal property including rare books, art, and antiques may provide you with immediate tax advantages. To take advantage of a charitable income tax deduction, your gift must relate directly to William Paterson's activities and mission.
