Taxwise Giving/Life
Income Planning
You don’t have
to use cash to make your gift. A gift of
an appreciated asset such as securities or real estate
might be a better way to make your donation – due
to the tax benefits. In some cases, a gift of personal
property such as rare books or antiques might be the best
way for you to make a gift.
You can make a gift that costs you nothing during
your lifetime by making the University a beneficiary
of your Will, a life insurance policy, or your retirement
plan.
You can make us a partner in your giving by
making a gift that pays you a lifetime income – such
as a charitable gift annuity or charitable trust.
We can help you to structure your gift in a way that helps
you to save taxes, increases your income, and/or preserve
more of your estate for your heirs. We want to make
to most of your gift – to make the experience as rewarding
for you as it is for the University.
