A lateral transfer is the movement of an employee
from one job assignment to another within his/her job classification
into another unit or department within the University.
To initiate a lateral transfer within a CWA title,
the employee must express a desire to transfer in writing and submit
an updated resume to the office of Human Resources. When the title
becomes vacant in another department or unit, Human Resources will
notify the interested employee of opportunity. More detailed information
about the transfer process can be found in applicable contracts.
