Course Descriptions

Excel I
This half-day workshop teaches the basics of spreadsheets using Excel 2003. Whether you have been using Excel or are just beginning, this is where you need to start. Learn to:

·Start Excel 2003
·Use and search help
·Work with toolbars
·Understand rows, columns and cell addresses
·Create a worksheet
·Create simple formulas
·Select and format cells and worksheets
·Check spelling
·Merge multiple columns
·Change background and foreground colors

Excel II
This half-day workshop is a continuation of Excel 1. You should have a functional knowledge of all the Excel 1 concepts before taking this class. You will learn to:

·Use the SUM function
·Use the Average function
·Use the Minimum and Maximum function
·Save a workbook
·Set margins
·Turn gridlines on/off
·Print a workbook
·Use multiple worksheets within a workbook
·Add and create charts
·Merge cells
·Add and delete rows and columns
·Add background and foreground color
·Auto format
·Find and replace data
·Set margins
·Use headers and footers
·Turn gridlines on/off
·Change page orientation
·Move and rename worksheets within a workbook

Excel III
This half-day workshop is a continuation of Excel 1 and 2. You should have a functional knowledge of all the Excel 1 and 2 concepts before taking this class. You will be introduced to:

·Use the Function Wizard
·Use What If analysis
·Create worksheets with relative and absolute formulas
·Format numbers
·Change height and width of cells
·Make changes by right clicking
·Add charts
·Format charts
·Change the properties of charts
·Link and embed objects
·Reference cells on other worksheets

Excel IV
This half-day workshop is a continuation of Excel 1, 2 and 3. You should have a functional knowledge of all the Excel 1,2 and 3 concepts before taking this class. You will learn to:

·Create a template
·Work with complex functions (using PMT)
·Create and use macros
·Protect a worksheet
·Add notes and comments on worksheets
·Insert objects into a spreadsheet
·Use Word Art as an object
·Add hyperlinks to a spreadsheet
·Attach spreadsheets to e-mail
·Use the Microsoft Web site to download additional features
·Use the web toolbar
·Use the Form toolbar
