Course Descriptions
Access I
This half-day workshop teaches the basics of a database using Access 2003. Whether you have been using Access or are just beginning, this is where you need to start. You will learn to:
·Work with toolbars
·Use and search help
·Create a new database
·Set up fields for tables
·Save tables
·Create auto forms
·Create auto reports
·Add additional tables to a database
·Print the contents of a table
·Change fields in already established tables
·Design a database
·Save a database
·Print a database
Access II
This half-day workshop is a continuation of Access 1. You should have a functional knowledge of all the Access 1 concepts before taking this class. You will learn to:
·Query a database
·Create a new query (select fields)
·Use compound criteria in querying
·Join tables
·Calculate statistics
·Sort data in a query
·Save a query
·Close a database
·Add, change and delete data
·Create validation rules.
Access III
This half-day workshop is a continuation of Access 1 and 2. You should have a functional knowledge of all the Access 1 and 2 concepts before taking this class. You will be introduced to:
·Using your Access database with Word 97 mail merge
·Creating form letters
·Labels
·Envelopes
Access IV
This half-day workshop is a continuation of Access 1, 2 and 3. You should have a functional knowledge of all the Access 1,2 and 3 concepts before taking this class. You will learn to:
·Use your Access database with Excel 97
·Take an existing Excel database and convert it to Word
·Filter your database in Excel
·Sort your Excel database
·Review concepts needed from Access 1, 2 and 3.
