Intro to Philosophy Midterm
Due March8-10 2&1/2 pages per question minimum

Choose two questions. Use one inch margins, double space. Use Times New Roman 12 or smaller.

1. Write a dialogue on the problem of evil giving arguments for and against the possibility of God's existence.

2. Write a dialogue on whether or not a robot could be a sentient being. Have your characters use some of the ideas in Chapter 2.

3. Discuss the issue between Baron d'Holbach and William James on freewill and determinism.

4. Give Descartes' argument concerning the possibility that we may always be deceived by a malicious demon. Explain O.K. Bouwsma's critique of Descartes.
